Mark Parry
Managing Director

Mark is a very successful and experienced senior executive who clearly demonstrates significant management, leadership, people skills and capabilities across a broad range of industries and sectors. These include manufacturing, mining, mining services, contracting, transport and logistics and other various infrastructure projects.

Mark is a strong, credible and proven communicator including a number of roles that have required him to be the face of the business to State and Federal Government Ministers and officials, regulatory bodies and a diverse range of stakeholders. Mark has a passion for deep and effective engagement with all levels of an organisation from ‘The Board’ through to the shop floor. Mark brings change by creating an atmosphere where his team can contribute and develop as individuals in sync with the corporate objectives of the company.

With a strong value-based approach to leadership, Mark measures success by safely delivering business outcomes through exceptional and reliable customer service. Mark’s ethos is to ensure the survivability of a business by embedding sound leadership and business processes in order to maintain sustainable change long after his departure.

Alan Finemore
Chief Operating Officer

During Alan’s time at Finemore Holdings he progressed through a number of senior management roles; bulk liquids, vehicle transport and regional NSW divisions of Finemore Holdings till 2001. Alan has achieved over 35 years of transport and logistics experience since joining original Finemores Transport in 1976.

Alan has been instrumental in the development of the Ron Finemore business with key customers and year on year business performance. Alan‘s strength across compliance implementation and people safety best practice has aided Ron Finemore Transport in becoming a leader in the provision of safe, reliable and cost effective transport services.

In his key leadership operational role Alan takes on direct reporting lines of cross functional teams and industry leading delivery of high-performance service levels. The renewal of major tenders over a number of periods is a testament to Alan’s commitment to this customer facing performance results and ongoing outcomes. Alan is currently responsible for all operating divisions of the Company. This includes all linehaul general freight activities for primary, secondary and DC transfer freight movements for supermarket and direct vendor services.

Luke Vesey
Chief Financial Officer

Luke’s career commenced in a Big 4 global accounting firm, located in both Melbourne and Perth, where he worked closely with some of the world’s largest mining and natural resource companies.

Having left the chartered accounting environment to hold Chief Financial Officer roles in a number of successful private businesses, Luke has worked in a wide variety of industries, from property development and construction through to forest products and more recently, transport and logistics.

Luke brings a wealth of experience in working with large private enterprises, partnering with executives, Boards, and shareholders alike, and enjoys being based in regional settings.

Luke holds a Bachelor of Business (Accounting), Graduate Diploma (Project Management), is a Member of the Institute of Chartered Accounts (CAANZ) and was appointed Chief Financial Officer for Ron Finemore Transport Pty Ltd in January 2017.

Luke prides himself on his involvement in his family and the broader community and his extra curricular interests such as participating in in the 2019 ATA Future Leaders program.

Laurie Brothers
Chief Fleet & Maintenance Officer

With over 40 years’ experience, Laurie Brothers is highly respected within the truck and transport industry. He joined Finemore Holdings in 1978; held management positions till 1999 when appointed Group General Manager of Australian activities, with responsibility for revenues of over $360 m p.a., 2,000 staff and 650 fleet vehicles.

After the acquisition of Finemore Holdings by the Toll Group, Laurie took a senior position within Toll as General Manager of Outbound Automotive Logistics. Managing Director since inception of Ron Finemore Transport in 2004 to 2016, overseeing Company growth from revenues of $47 m in 2005 to $142m in 2015 servicing the Food and Energy segments of the transport and logistics industry.

Laurie now oversees the purchasing and maintenance of the entire Ron Finemore Transport fleet of Prime Movers and Trailers.

Darren Wood
General Manager Technology & Innovation

Darren has a well-rounded operational and finance background, with over 30 years of industry experience.

Prior to joining Ron Finemore Transport in September 2005, he was the Toll Logistics Finance Manager in the Beverage Division following the sale of a TNT business unit to Toll in 1996. In 1998 he transferred to Orange NSW to run the Toll Regional business, which included work for Woolworth's into Central West NSW.  In 2003 he was appointed Business Development Manager for Toll Regional and worked closely with Alan Finemore in the development of that business. From 2006 to 2013 Darren managed Ron Finemore Transport’s Orange division which provides daily services from the Central West NSW region to Sydney, Brisbane, Melbourne and Adelaide. 

In 2013 Darren became the General Manager – Projects for Ron Finemore Transport and was charged with leading an IT system evolution across all platforms and areas within the business. After scouring all Australian vendors, the decision was made to look globally for suitable best of breed systems to replace existing infrastructure. The decision was made in June 2016 to move to a variety of Trimble products across Finance, Operations & Workshop.

During 2018 Darren was appointed General Manager Technology & Innovation and now heads up a small and effective IT team. During the same year Ron Finemore Transport went live with Trimble Visibility which is now a key provider of information to our biggest clients. Darren was the lead participant in the recent CRC-P Advanced Safe Truck Concept with Seeing Machines, Monash University and Volvo Trucks. His focus within Ron Finemore Transport is to deliver innovation through integration, single source of the truth and exception reporting. More recently, tackling societal issues of mobile phone use through use of effective technology is currently a work in progress. Moving into 2020, the use of machine learning and AI will be at the forefront of future developments within Ron Finemore Transport.

Darren continues to mentor key people in the Orange operations as they develop within the business at the same time as working with the senior management team on all business development opportunities and tenders.
