      About the Business

      Ron Finemore Transport (RFT), a nationally recognised, regional transport and logistics business servicing the Eastern States of Australia. Established in 2004 to meet the road freight needs of regional industries and communities, RFT has grown into a leading company of over 650 people with more than 270 trucks on the road.  A strong, values-based company, RFT people are dedicated to providing safe, cost effective and reliable delivery of food and fuel products into our local communities.

      This is a great opportunity for an individual who is wanting to progress their driver training career within a supportive and collaborative company. The role is based out of Wodonga and supports our regional driver fleet in Wodonga, Barnawartha and Wagga Wagga as required.

      About the Role

      In this role you will be responsible for the recruitment, induction, review and training of our first-class heavy vehicle driving team, supporting them in upholding the company values of safety, professionalism and customer service.

      Your responsibilities will include:

      • Conducting driver recruitment interviews and assessments
      • Training on safety procedures for drivers
      • Performing company inductions
      • Maintain updates for permits within trucks
      • Maintain driver training and assessment records
      • Monitor compliance to driver safety and regulatory standards
      • Train, audit and review driver skills base
      • Ensure all activities are performed safely, accurately and in accordance with legislative, company and customer requirements

      This is a permanent, full-time role reporting to the Training Development Officer, and is based at Wodonga.

      Your skills and experience for this role need to include:

      • Industry understanding of WHS and COR (BFM/AFM) legislation
      • Certificate IV in Training & Assessment
      • Multi-combination heavy vehicle licence, with MC driving experience
      • A clean driving record
      • Ability to communicate at all levels
      • Proven experience working with drivers in order to get the best outcomes
      • Competent user of technology
      • Experience in temperature control (TC) work
      • Contribute to the improvement of systems and the working environment
      • Self-motivated, forward thinker and enjoy a challenge
      • Passion to drive a safety culture and lead with safety first
