This is a great opportunity for an individual who is wanting to progress their driver training career in safety within a supportive and collaborative company based in Goulburn, NSW and supporting our regional driver fleet in Sydney, Canberra and regional NSW.

About the Role

In this role you will be responsible for the recruitment, induction, review and training of our first-class heavy vehicle driving team, supporting them in upholding the company values of safety, professionalism and customer service.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Conducting driver recruitment interviews and assessments
• Training on safety procedures for drivers
• Performing company inductions
• Maintain updates for permits within trucks
• Maintain driver training and assessment records
• Monitor compliance to driver safety and regulatory standards
• Train, audit and review driver skills base
• Ensure all activities are performed safely, accurately and in accordance with legislative, company and customer requirements

This is a permanent, full-time role reporting to the Training Development Officer, and is based at our new site at Goulburn, NSW.

Your skills and experience for this role need to include:

• Industry understanding of WHS and COR (BFM/AFM) legislation
• Certificate IV in Training & Assessment
• Multi-combination heavy vehicle licence, with MC driving experience
• A clean driving record
• Ability to communicate at all levels
• Proven experience working with drivers in order to get the best outcomes
• Competent user of technology
• Experience in temperature control (TC) work
• Contribute to the improvement of systems and the working environment
• Self-motivated, forward thinker and enjoy a challenge
• Passion to drive a safety culture and lead with safety first
