Ron Finemore Transport (RFT) is a nationally recognised leader in regionally based transport. Established in 2004, RFT has grown into a leading company of over 550 people with more than 250 trucks on the road.  RFT is dedicated to providing safe, cost effective and reliable delivery of food and fuel products into our local communities.

The Opportunity

Located in our Head Office Depot in Wodonga, new opportunities have been created for Workshop Staff. Exciting NEW positions exist for:

  • Truck Mechanics
  • Trailer Mechanics
  • Road Transport Refrigeration Mechanics
  • Welders & Fabricators

Duties:

  • Maintaining the company’s modern heavy vehicle fleet within the OE manufacturers & NHVR tolerances.
  • Scheduled servicing and diagnostics of all plant and equipment.
  • Maintenance and breakdown repairs in the workshop with the ability to man a periodic on call roster.
  • Working in a team environment focused on quality workmanship.

Skills & Experience:

  • Trade qualifications relevant to maintaining heavy vehicles.
  • Proactive approach to safety and compliance.
  • Strong problem solving and diagnostic skills.
  • Experience maintaining European trucks considered an advantage.
  • Experience maintaining road transport refrigeration units considered an advantage.
  • High Risk Forklift Licence (LF) would be advantageous.
  • HR driver's licence would be an advantage.
  • Able to understand and follow instructions.
