Permanent full time positions are available for  Transport Operations Scheduler based in Wodonga.   This position would ideally suit someone looking to develop their career with a respected Company with ambitious growth plans. 

You will be responsible for the effective allocation and management of a geographical group of the Company’s heavy vehicle fleet along with the drivers allocated to this group. This role would suit someone who is self-motivated, works well in a dynamic team, enjoys a challenge and is customer focused. Someone who is committed to achieving outcomes and also wants to progress within the organisation would be an ideal fit for our team.

The successful applicant will be required to:

• Demonstrate self motivation, sense of urgency and excellent communication skills
• Maintain a positive “can-do” attitude with the ability to think, adapt and learn in a fast paced dynamic environment
• Ensure all operational, administration, customer service / relationships are managed in a professional and appropriate manner
• Maintain effective, efficient and best practice logistics solutions within the operations
• Work a rotating roster, based around the needs to have 24/7 coverage across the contract requirements

Skills and qualifications required:

• Basic Fatigue Management qualifications and previous logistics planning experience an advantage
• Attention to detail and focus on customer service
• Ability to work in a dynamic environment as a team leader
• Ability to work unsupervised & to handle multiple tasks
• A thorough understanding of task allocation and coordination
• Ability to manage drivers in order to complete scheduled tasks
• Above average data entry skills
• Competent user of Microsoft Windows software
• Relevant sales and customer relationship experience
• Ability to work within an established Environment, Health and Safety (EHS) system
• Contribute to the improvement of systems and the working environment
