About the Opportunity
Ron Finemore Transport are currently seeking motivated individuals wanting to commence a career within the mechanical industry, with a commitment to safety and the ability to work as part of a team.
What we are offering:
As an Apprentice Heavy Vehicle Mechanic within the Fleet & Maintenance department at RFT you will be responsible for the upkeep and reliability of our heavy vehicle fleet consisting of modern European trucks and various heavy trailer applications including refrigerated vans, tautliners and dangerous goods tankers.
To be considered you must have the following:
- HSC school leaver
- Current Drivers Licence and reliable transport
- Committed to completing a 4-year apprenticeship.
We will consider 1st, 2nd and 3rd year apprentices however you must show proof your TAFE studies are up to date.

You are committed to achieving safe and reliable outcomes and are looking for an opportunity to commence your career in a nationally respected Company. Your skills and experience should include:
- Attention to detail and focus on customer service and problem solving.
- Competent computer skills and a desire to enhance your knowledge.
- Ability to think, adapt and learn in a fast-paced dynamic environment.
- Thorough understanding of task timelines and co-ordination to completion.
- Ability to comply with the Environment, Health and Safety (EHS) system.
- Self-motivated and the ability to work unsupervised.
