About the Opportunity

This is for permanent positions based at our Orange Site Maintenance Facility in regional NSW (Central West).

As a Heavy Vehicle Mechanic within the Fleet & Maintenance department at RFT you will be responsible for the upkeep and reliability of our heavy vehicle fleet consisting of modern European trucks and various heavy trailer applications including refrigerated vans, tautliners and dangerous goods tankers.

Driver Trainer- Sydney Basin/ Orange

The Ron Finemore Transport Group is a leading regionally based transport operator servicing the Eastern States of Australia. Ron Finemore Transport offers its employees:

A permanent full-time position for Driver Trainer is available and is responsible for recruitment, induction, driver review and training.  Based at Orange for reporting and formal reasons, your role will predominantly be in the Sydney basin. Your position will require regular travel to various locations and sites related to the task including, but not limited to, Orange, the Sydney DC’s, Oil terminals and sites in and around the Southern Highlands. The position would ideally suit someone who has worked in a similar environment, is methodical, gets on well with a multitude of different people and has good communication skills.  

A background in Operations, EH&S, Compliance, or similar roles would be desirable, as well as being someone who is self-motivated, works well in a team, enjoys a challenge and is customer focused.  You will be very well organized and have an enthusiastic professional approach to the job.

Skills and qualifications required for this position:

  • Industry understanding of OH&S legislation
  • Certificate IV in Training & Assessment
  • Heavy Vehicle licenses, including HC and preferably MC
  • Ability to work in a dynamic role, with forward thinking
  • Ability to communicate at all levels
  • Good customer service skills
  • Ability to work with drivers in order to get the best outcomes for the business
  • Competent user of Microsoft Office tools  
  • Contribute to the improvement of systems and the working environment
  • Self-motivated and enjoys a challenge
