Collectively Ron Finemore Transport and our alliance partners have depot facilities in all eastern seaboard capital cities and selected regional centres. These logistical hubs are strategically located to best service the needs of our customers. Each Ron Finemore Transport hub is intentionally selected to allow our vehicles to operate efficiently, legally and safely.
Our head office is situated at Wodonga, on the border of Victoria and New South Wales, situated at the centre of the Sydney-Melbourne-Adelaide linehaul freight triangle. Our regional hubs are located in Orange (Central West region of NSW) Wagga Wagga (Riverina region of NSW), Goulburn (Southern Tablelands of NSW) and Eagle Farm (Brisbane, Queensland). These facilities act as the distribution point for a host of neighbouring regional centres.
We are committed to improving road safety in Australia and have partnered with government and industry partners to help advance technology and systems to improve road safety. Our leadership team advocate for adequate training for truck drivers and work tirelessly to ensure the reform of “truck driver hours”.
Our Executive Chairman, Ron Finemore AO, is a current member of the NSW Road Freight Industry Council (RFIC). The RFIC’s focus is on road freight transport issues that affect road safety, efficiency and productivity in relation to operational and customer service matters.
Ron Finemore Transport have partnered with Monash University and Seeing Machines and are working towards developing the intelligence that keeps truck drivers and road users safe through future driver monitoring technology. Funded under the Cooperative Research Centre Projects (CRC-P) funding scheme, the Advanced Safe Truck Concept (ASTC) project brings together technology, research and operational expertise to develop an innovative driver state sensing concept for use in commercial vehicles. The heavy vehicle industry is a crucial component of transport systems and business across Australia. We recognise the need to keep the industry moving safely.
