The foundations of RFT’s success were cemented in the days of Finemore Holdings, one of Australia’s leading transport and logistics management companies, which was sold to Toll Holdings in 2001.

The inception of Ron Finemore Transport Pty Ltd came in 2004 with the purchase of Lewingtons Transport, followed by the acquisition of the Orange-based Smiths Transport in 2005.

Today, the company remains 50% owned by the Finemore family, complemented by a 50% holding by the CVC Group.

As a diversified investment company and pioneer of the venture capital industry in Australia, CVC Group’s involvement with RFT spans more than 30 years, and is a key investment for CVC in the transport and logistics sector over the long term.
