In 1999, Ron’s business and community achievements were recognised with his appointment as an Officer of the Order of Australia (AO).

Laurie Brothers is a classic rise-to-the-top story.

He started work at Finemore Holdings in 1978 as a Sales Coordinator, and was promoted to Operations Supervisor in 1981. By 1999, he had progressed to Group General Manager for all operating divisions of the Finemore Group, and was responsible for a customer base generating over $360M revenue per annum.

Laurie was appointed Managing Director of Ron Finemore Transport Pty Ltd in July 2004.

Currently based in New York, Shane Finemore has extensive experience in the financial and investment banking sectors, both in Australia and on Wall Street.

He was formerly Managing Director and Head of the US Fundamental Investment Group at UBS Investment Bank, a member of the UBS Investment Bank Board and the US Equities Operating Committee, and co-chair of the US Equities Trading Committee.

Most recently, Shane has been appointed as Director of ASX Limited.

Alexander ‘Sandy’ Beard is the Chief Executive Officer of investment group, CVC Limited, and has extensive experience working in partnership with the management of investee companies.

His expertise lies in capital raisings, debt financing, negotiations of key agreements and arrangements, profitable exit of investments via initial public offerings and trade sales, and recovery strategies for non-performing companies.

Among Sandy’s many business highlights are the successful restructuring of Pacific Communications Holdings Ltd and Tetley Medical Ltd.

Gary was appointed Chief Financial Officer for Ron Finemore Transport Pty Ltd in February 2006.

Prior to this role, he was General Manager of the privately owned Finemore Tyre Group, which operates a successful heavy vehicle re-treading and tyre retailing business in Melbourne and Wagga Wagga.

Having been employed by the publicly listed Finemore Transport Group for 20 years, Gary specialises in transport logistics studies, financial projects management, and business development and implementation.
